Made in the Abyss is one of the most interesting manga of its time. Made in the Abyss manga has been written and drawn by Akihito Tsukushi. It has also been converted into an Anime and is available online for viewing. The story features a team of three, a humanoid robot boy, an orphan girl and a rabbit-like sidekick.

The story of Made in the Abyss manga features a little girl named Riko who lives by herself in a small town that goes by the name of Orth on an island called Beoluska. The town is surrounded by a huge ancient dig that descends deep into the earth and is home to many artifacts that belong to an ancient civilization that once existed inside it.

The dig is commonly known as the Abyss(hence the name Made in the Abyss manga) and those who descend within it end up with “The curse of the Abyss” which can be potentially fatal to anyone who tries to come back out of it. People who enter the Abyss to hunt for valuable artifacts and to solve its mystery are called Cave Raiders.

Those among the Cave Raiders who accomplish extraordinary feats are known as White whistles, one of them being Rikos mother who never returned from one of her ascends into the Abyss. The effects of the curse of the Abyss become more and more acute as one descends further into the Abyss(from Made in the Abyss manga) making the climb back up all the more difficult.

The story begins when Riko is informed that her mother’s possessions have finally been recovered and a letter has been found addressing her. On reading the letter, Riko finds out that her mother wishes her to meet Riko at the bottom of the Abyss. P.s Yes, Made in the Abyss manga is a little weird like that.

On finishing this, Riko sets out on a quest to reach its bottom while being fully aware of the curse, she is joined by Reg and Nanachi who have stories and reasons of their own and the three become a team. And hence the story of Made in the Abyss manga begins.
